Welcome

The purpose of this blog is to share my experience with Implantable Collamer Lens (ICL) surgery (aka Implantable Contact Lens). When I first began to seriously consider having this surgery, I researched it online like I do everything else, but there wasn't much to be found in the way of testimonials from actual patients. It's a scary process--it's your only two eyes for pete's sake!--so I thought I would put my own experience out there for others who may be considering it.

This blog documents my own experience and does not guarantee any outcome for anyone else. I offer it only as part of many things you should consider before having ICL.

Your first priority is finding a doctor who knows what he/she's doing. This isn't something you want a discount on. My doctor has performed 25,000 vision procedures, 3,000 of which were on other doctors.

Click the "My ICL Procedure" tab to read the actual steps of the procedures.
